Michel Lynch, born in 1754, was mayor of Pauillac during the French Revolution and also one of the leading figures in the significant progress in winemaking that took place in the late 18th century. His estate at Bages was renamed Lynch-Bages and later included in the famous 1855 classification of great growths. Jean-Michel Cazes, the current owner of Lynch-Bages decided to honor Michel Lynch by giving his name to a first-class Bordeaux wine selected from the best terroir in the area.

Jean-Michel Cazes’ ambition in creating Michel Lynch was to propose a selection of wines reflecting the diversity of Bordeaux’s terroirs. Michel Lynch wines perfectly embody both the modern and traditional aspects of Bordeaux winemaking. They are elegant, stylish and affordable. Michel Lynch wines are ideal for wine lovers who want to enjoy rich, elegant Bordeaux wines without having to wait. They come from the finest terroirs and reflect the best that each vintage has to offer.

The Michel Lynch winemaking team does everything in their power to make the best possible Bordeaux in every vintage. Michel Lynch wines are selected with the greatest care and are patiently aged. They combine concentrated flavor, softness and charm and offer outstanding value at an affordable price.
