At the edge of the Pacific, north of Santiago, Chile’s Leyda Valley is the exciting new source of some of the New World’s most inspired and original cool climate wines. The 1,532-acre Amaral estate is dedicated to showcasing the quality and promise of varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir planted in a terroir that reaps the rewards of granite soils with rich alluvial deposits, a gentle maritime climate and the cooling influences of the Humboldt Current. Finesse, elegance and exceptional purity of flavor are the signature style of these sublime and compelling varietal wines.
Amaral Sauvignon Blanc and Amaral Chardonnay represent the first releases from this latest initiative from the Gras family, founders of the MontGras winery in Colchagua Valley. Winemaking at the property is supervised by Jaime de la Cerda, working closely with vineyard manager Oscar Valenzuela.
